The Built Environment Channel is a little different to typical publication platforms. We're not a website, we're not a magazine, instead we're an in-house digital screen network dedicated to the built environment.

We feature your project on our screen network in Australian architecture and built environment practices. Our network streams the latest industry news and design inspiration from all across the globe - that’s where you come in.

All projects published on Built Environment Channel are added to our online design library. This will expand the exposure of your work, and continue to help inspire architectural discussions globally.

With thousands of images and hundreds of tags, BEC DesignAtlas is Australia’s most searchable architecture database that provides all the necessary information for every project.

If you are seeking exposure for your finished project or brainstorming ideas for your next, BEC DesignAtlas is what you’re looking for.

Frequently asked questions

  • Your design projects are exclusively published on our digital screens installed in the offices of architects, landscape architects and urban designers around Australia. Your projects will also be added to our digital design library BEC Design Atlas.

  • Once you submit your project, we will provide you with a copy of the content we create using your images alongside a digital montage of how your project will look on screen. Your project will also be accessible on BEC Design Atlas.

    You can see your projects on our screens in practices large and small across Australia. Be sure to check out the Built Environment Channel network next time you’re in any of the Australian Institute of Architecture buildings and many other of our Industry Partner offices around the country.

  • Your work will appear on 4k screens, some which are up to 80" in size. Therefore, in order to showcase your work at its best, it is critical you submit high-resolution images. The minimum size image that can be published is 1920px x 1080px.

  • This is a free service which is designed to celebrate the best in global architecture.

  • No two projects are the same - it all depends on the content that is submitted. We use the images and project description and create a range of content pieces.

  • Yes, we value your work and always credit the designer and the photographer. If you've collaborated with a practice on a project, provided you've included them in your documentation, they will also be noted. Be sure to include the copyright symbol © where appropriate.

  • Yes, you can receive the content pieces we created for your reference or archive.

  • Of course, just let us know and we're happy for you to take a look and approve it before we publish it on our network.
